I agree with both commemts. I believe the property values in all of Cook are being artificially inflated. Ours went up by 60k with several homes around me in foreclosure and abandoned. Looking into sales history of 60 similar homes the increase is ludicrous. I believe an audit and public investigation should be initiated into how the data is being used to formulate the sudden huge inflation of assessments. These assessments in no way correspond to sales market and glut of homes in the market. This is the first time I've filed an appeal in 38 years as a Cook county homeowner. Something is very wrong with these valuations and there needs to be an inquiry.
